In compliance with article 22 of the Law 34/2002, dated the 11th of July, on information society services and electronic commerce (referred to hereinafter as LSSI), in relation to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council, dated the 27th of April, 2016, on the General Protection of Data (GDPR) and the Organic Law 3/2018, dated the 5th of December, on Data Protection and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD) hereinafter we inform you about the cookies that we use and how you can delete them.
What are cookies?
According to art. 22.2 of the LSSI the service providers can use data storage and recovery devices in the terminal equipment of the recipients, as long as they have given their consent to do so after they have been provided with complete clear information about their use. This all refers to the use of cookies and similar technology used (such as local shared objects or flash cookies, web beacons or bugs, etc.) to store and recover data from terminal equipment (for example, a computer, a mobile telephone or a tablet) of an individual or a legal entity that uses, whether it is for professional reasons or not, an information society service. Recital 30 of GDPR states that individuals can be associated with online identifiers supplied by their devices, applications, tools and protocols, such as internet protocol addresses, session identifiers in the form of «cookies» or other identifiers, such as radiofrequency identification labels. This might leave traces that, in particular, as they are combined with unique identifiers and other data received by the servers, might be used to create profiles of individuals and identify them, or mention this technology and its impact on data protection.
This website uses cookies and/or similar technology that stores and recovers information when you browse around it. In general, this technology can be used for very different purposes, such as for example, to recognise you as the user, obtain information about your browsing habits, or personalise the way in which the content is shown. What we use this technology for specifically is described below. In principle we explain what the cookies are according to their function:
COOKIES ACCORDING TO THE TIME PERIOD
SESSION COOKIES are cookies that are designed to obtain and store data while the user accesses a website. They are normally used to store information that is only kept to provide the service requested by the user on one occasion.
PERSISTENT COOKIES are cookies in which the data continues to be stored in the terminal and those that can be accessed and processed for a period that is defined by the cookie manager, which might be anytime from a few minutes to various years.
COOKIES ACCORDING TO THE ENTITY THAT MANAGES THEM
FIRST-PARTY COOKIES are those that are sent to the terminal equipment of the user from equipment or a domain that is run by the actual editor and from where the service requested by the user is provided.
THIRD-PARTY COOKIES are those that are sent to the terminal equipment of the user from equipment or a domain that is not run by the editor, but rather by another entity that processes the data that is obtained through the cookies.
COOKIES ACCORDING TO THE PURPOSE
TECHNICAL COOKIES are those that let the user browse around a website, platform or application and use the different options or services that exist in it, which include those that the editor uses to manage and run the website and enable its functions and services, such as, for example, control the traffic and the data communication, identify the session, access restricted access areas, recall items that are included in an order, carry out the purchase process of an order, process the payment, control fraud associated with the security of the service, request registration or to take part in an event, count visits to invoice licenses of the software that is used to run the service (website, platform or application), use security elements while browsing, store content to broadcast videos or sound, enable dynamic content (for example, loading animation of a text or image) or share content through social media sites. Cookies that help run advertising spaces in the most efficient way possible also belong to this category, due to their technical nature, which as another element of the design or “layout” of the service supplied to the user, the editor has included in a website, application or platform according to criteria such as the edited content, without information about the users being collected for other purposes, such as customising this advertising content or other content.
PREFERENCE OR CUSTOMISATION COOKIES are those that help recall information so that the user accesses the service with certain characteristics that can distinguish their experience from that of other users, such as, for example, the language, the number of results to show when the user does a search, the appearance or the content of the service according to the type of browser through which the user accesses the service or the region from where the service is accessed, etc. If it is the user themself that chooses these characteristics (for example, if they choose the language of a website by clicking on the icon of the flag of the corresponding country), the cookies will be exempt from the obligations established in article 22.2 of the LSSI due to be considered as being a service that is specifically required by the user, and as long as the cookies exclusively fulfil the purpose selected.
ANALYTICS OR PERFORMANCE COOKIES are those that let the cookies manager monitor and analyse the behaviour of the users of the websites that they are linked to, including the quantification of the impact of the advertising. The information obtained through this type of cookie is used to gauge the activity of the websites, application or platform, in order to make improvements according to the data analysis of how users use the service.
BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING COOKIES store the information about the users’ behaviour that is obtained by continually observing their browsing habits, which helps develop a specific profile to show advertising based on it.
CONSENT EXEMPT COOKIES – Those that only allow communication between the user’s equipment and the network.
-That which strictly supplies the service that has been specifically requested by the user:
User-input cookies
User identification or authentication cookies (only session)
User security cookies
Multimedia content player session cookies
