The Camp d’Elx is distinguished for the agricultural activities, carried out in a cultivated area of more than 7000 hectares. The queen of fruit grown here is the pomegranate known as the Granada Mollar de Elche, which is protected by the designation of origin. The majority of products that are grown in the countryside of Elche are sold at the Fruit and Vegetable Market, located in L’Alcudia Agri-food Park. There are also a lot of nurseries in the Camp d’Elx.

The Carrizales Irrigators’ Community has created an Agricultural Nature Reserve where activities that are related to the natural environment are organised: agriculture, environmental conservation and preservation, sustainable agricultural industries, handcrafts with natural products, recovery of cultural traditions, rural tourism…

The Beaches of Elche

Elche has a more unknown side to it that, when discovered, becomes one of the most appealing tourist destinations of the city: its beautiful beaches. Nine kilometres of fine white sand, pine forests and untouched areas. The sea and you … And more than three thousand hours of Mediterranean sun a year! What more could you ask for?

The Beaches of Elche are: El Altet, Los Arenales del Sol, El Carabassí, La Marina, El Pinet and Les Pesqueres-El Rebollo… They all have the Blue Flag waving on their shores.
